Thomas LaRue Myers of Warrenton, VA died on January 9, 2010 at Fauquier Hospital. He was born on July 8, 1930 in Williamsport, PA. Thomas was retired from IBM where he was a Quality Applications Engineer and was an active member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary for 34 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph M. and Olive Myers along with his brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Alice M. Myers, and his children, Michael T. Myers and wife Margaret of Binghamton, NY, Nancy L. DiSalvo and husband Robert of Lowell, MA, William B. Myers and his wife Cynthia of Jacksonville, FL, Jayne E. Myers of Arlington, VA and Joyce K. Myers of Warrenton, VA. Also surviving are nine grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 14, 2010 from 6-8pm at Moser Funeral Home, Inc., Warrenton VA 20186. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 15, 2010 at 1:30pm at E. Third Street United Methodist Church in Williamsport, PA with interment in Wildwood Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Thomas’ name to the NHLBI Gift Fund to further the research mission of NHLBI, 9000 Rockville Pike, Bldg 10, Rm 7N115, Bethesda, MD 20892, c/o Marcelo J.A.
