Ruth Scruggs, 75, of Reedville, died on January 10, 2010. She was born in Fauquier County, VA on July 29, 1934 a daughter of the late Rufus and Helen Cunningham.
Mrs. Scruggs was a former resident of Fauquier County and enjoyed gardening.
She is survived by her husband, Lewis E. Scruggs and six children; Robert Streightiff, Bruce Streightiff, Allen Streightiff, Brenda Patton, Terry Streightiff and Donna Whetzel. She also leaves five step-children; Donna Scruggs, Ronnie Scruggs, Kenny Scruggs, Thomas Scruggs and Patsy Smith. Additional survivors include three sisters and two brothers; Pearl Caperton, Charles Cunningham, Viola Johnson, Patricia Combs and Waldo Cunningham, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mrs. Scruggs was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Streightiff, a brother, Jimmy Cunningham and a grandson, Bobby Lee Patton.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 14 from 6- 8 PM at Moser Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 15, 2010 at Moser Funeral Home at 1 PM. Interment Cedar Grove Cemetery, Bealeton, VA.
